Ben Quinn has always felt a deep connection to the earth. Many days as a child were spent wandering through the mystical woods, enchanted by the intricate details hidden within the misty forest bed. Ben believes every facet of who we are is connected to the rhythms of nature, including the food we eat. The measure of the sea, the waves's beckoning, the whisper of the salty sea air flowing its song through the sea kale—they all have a story to tell, a sort of beckoning us into something deeper.
Ben’s recipes and cooking follow the seasons, ever inspired by what nature brings to the table. A gardener and forager, Ben loves the act of sinking his hands into the fertile soil; it's grounding and invigorating. Storytelling inspires how Ben creates both what goes on the table and also as an artist. Inspired by nature’s palette and the ever-beckoning story it tells, Ben crafts photography and writing for cooks, creators, and authors who desire an aesthetic that feels natural, rough, Nordic, and deeply interwoven with nature’s story. Ben believes the deep human connection that so many of us crave starts inward.
